About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Traveling from Canada - Shanghai Pudong Airport - Manila

I have a Philippine passport but I am a Canadian permanent resident. If I have a 20 hour layover at Pudong, am I allowed to go outside of the airport without a China Visa?

If your transit is less than 24 hours, you can apply for a free stay permit at the airport if you need to go out for a hotel or sight-seeing.
