About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hanoi - Hong-Kong - Beijing then Beijing - Hong Kong

Hello, what if my initial location is Hanoi but I have one stop in Hong-Kong ? Does the 72h visa-free still apply ?
If not, is it possible to do Hanoï - Beijing with one company and then, two days later, Beijing - Hong Kong with another one ? Still ok for the 72h free transit? Many thanks.

No, it does not apply to free transit if your flight has a stopover in HK and you will go back to HK again. Personally, I think it is ok if you fly as the plan No.2, you can also confirm this with your airline or Beijing Airport directly: 0086-10-56095400
