About:Requirements for China Green Card (Permanent Residence Permit)

Is there a New Rule for F visa holders?

My husband recently told me as of July 1, 2013, China is issuing a directive that all US citizens persons holding F (business) who spend more than a total of 90 NON-consecutive days ( and less than 180 days) in China to apply for PR status. Is this true?

Hi, it is true that the new regulation came into effect from July 1st, 2013 with many changes. However, there is no official notice or reference for the new rule so far. If he was told by his local PSB like that, then it is true. So, I think this is not for US citizens only but universial for all foreigners.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your reply...PSB being "Public Safety Bureau"? I'm trying to locate directives which actually state these new polices...how were you informed of the new policies and where are you able to confirm these new directives if they have not been published yet? Would be you able to help direct me to a source that has this information? Thank you so very much.

I am sorry that I haven't found any update on the new changes. I just read that some new regulations will come into effect on September 1. The visa types will have some changes. Some new types will be issued from then.
