Extending Visa

Mine expires on september, but i would like to renew it now because I'm planning on going out of China during the summer holidays.

If I apply to extend it a day before is expires, would that be okay? (or should I apply with enough time so that I will get my new one before the old one expires?)
Also, can I (for example) apply and get it issued in Beijing even though I'll be living in Tianjin?

Hi, you are suggested to submit your extension application at least 5 working days before it expires to the local PSB. If you are now in Tianjin, you should lodge your application to Tianjin Exit-Enter Administration of PSB.

I'm now in Jinan, and will only be moving to another city(and hopefully living there for a long time) after a couple of months.

What I want to ask is, if I am going to be moving to another city in a few months, can I renew it in Jinan?
