About:Shanghai Travel

I am flying from Bangkok to Shanghai where I would like to stay for 72 hous and then hold an on going ticket to Dubai where as a UK passport holder I can get a visa on arrival.

Please confirm that given these circumstances I am eligible for a Transit visa on arrival in SH. Is the process reasonably quick and stress free or a long drawn out process ? Do I qualify for a 72hr transit visa

Hi, you are eligible for this policy indeed. I suggest you consult your airline to make certain preparation or get certain documents for your transit.

Hi Juma -- Thank you for taking the time to reply. Do you know if it is possible to extend this type of visa for an additional 48 hrs b'cos I really need to be there for a total of 5 days. If I just stay an extra 2 days and turn up at the airport to leave what are the likely consequences ?

I suggest you apply for one in advance. It's the safest way.
