About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

We arrive at 19:45 and leave for USA 11:30 the following day. Can we leave Shanghai airport to go into city

or is it best to stay at airport? Do we need a visa? How do we get one and how much does it cost?

Yes, you can get out of the airport and the visa is not needed.
You only need apply for a stay-permit in the airport before you get out of the airport.
