About:China Visa Application in UK
My wife was born in China. We visit China to see her family. Can I apply for a family visa?

Yes, Michael, you can. For details of family visa: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/family-reunion.htm.
But if your wife doesn't have Chinese ID anymore, you can only apply for a Q2 visa depending on her Chinese parents.
