transport to putuo mountain from shanghai

hi, i will be in shanghai in couple of months and i would like to visit Putuo, what is the fastest way to get there? i'm not planing on staying over night and i don't want to take the over night ferry. the speed boat sounds like the best option, what are the departure and return times? and where i do buy the tickets, price? and do i need to buy it in advance? thank you.

Taking the speed boat is the fastest way to go to Putuo Mountain from Shanghai. You can go to Luchaogang Port to take the boat, which is available at 8:00 and 8:30. The tickets can be purchased at Tourism Center which is located under the Nanpu Bridge in Puxi. From here you can also take a special bus to Luchaogang Port directly. The return boat back to Shanghai is available at 12:30 and 13:00. The ticket fare is around CNY250-CNY300.
