letter of confirmation of invitation

hi all, can someone tell me which department my invitor company needs to go in china for Letter of Confirmation of Invitation, and if it will cost them anything ?
moreover if they are not willing to bear my expenses and i am going to do all the expenses myself then do i have to show any bank statement mine or my company i work for or its not required at all.
