As I know, the ferries between M and Guangzhou are temporarily out of service, so it is suggested to go to Shenzhen. You can take a ferry to Shenzhen Shekou Port and then transfer local transport for travel. It costs 210MOP for an economy class cabin and 330MOP for super class cabin.

For the visa issue, you can get Shenzhen visa on arrival at Luohu port. If you want to visit Guangzhou, you have to apply for a visa in Macao through the Commissioner'd office of the Ministry of China Foreign Affairs.
