Can you answer the following for me, please? 1) when is the best time to go (least crowds) from now until the end of september?2) how can i get there from shanghai? (either train or plane- or both options would be great)Thank you so very much,janet

July, August and September are good time to visit. From Shanghai, you can go to the No. 1588, Waimalu to take the direct buses for Shenjiamen Banshengdong Port where you can find the frequent ferries for Putuoshan. The bus journey takes about four hours and a half.
