10 of us visting Shangri-la by van in May 2013 can we visit Diqing and how far is it and roughly how many hours from Shangri-la

We stay 2 nights in Shangri-la is it ok.. Do we need to stay one night in DQ area
what scenery is worth to see there?

Shangri-la is one of the areas of DQ. So you can go there very easily.

Yes, it can be ok to stay to nights at Shangri-la. And generally the most well-known scenic area of DQ is Shangri-la. The other is Meili Snow Mountain.
