What id my passport hasn't been valid for 6 months?

I got my passport mid/late-December 2012 and i have a trip booked for may 18 2013. Is that going to be a major problem?

Hi, 6 month validity means your passport should remain to be valid for at least six months from the date of application before expiration. As what you said above, yours was newly-issued, so it is ok for application.
