About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Layover in China, on my way to Phuket.

Good day,

I am a South African passport holder currently residing and teaching in South Korea. Would I need a visa for a layover visit in China on my way to Thailand? The layover is only about 5-6 hours.

Your assistance would be kindly appreciated.

Visa is not required if you will not leave the airport transit area during the stopover.
