Hong Kong - Shanghai

Hello! I and my friends really wanted to do the overnight t100 train from Hong Kong to Shanghai. Unfortunately our plan is to leave HK on the 24th October, arriving in Shanghai on the 25th. I'm reading that the T100 only runs on odd days in October. Is there any alternative train/s that will run on the 24th? We don't really want to fly and are all looking forward to our first sleeper train experience.
