Chang An Grand Hotel to Silk Market in Beijing

hi there,
I will be staying at the Chang An Grand Hotel and I was wondering how do I get to the Silk Market by Subway? or if I do decide to take taxi, how much would it cost?

Also is there any restaurants around Chang An Grand Restaurants that is within walking distance?

Thanks
Samantha

The cheap way is to take the local subway. Your hotel is close to Panjiayuan Station, so you can walk to reach that station to take subway line 10 to reach Guomao where you can change to line 1 to reach Jianguomen Station. Get out of the station from Exit B and you can walk along Jianguomen Outer Street to reach the Silk Market.
If you take the taxi, the fare is around 20RMB.
For the restaurants, what kind of restaurant do you want to have a try? As far as I know, there is restaurant in the hotel, so you can go there for the meal. If you want to try other food, you can tell me what kind of cuisine do you want and then I can help you to find a close one.

Thanks for the response.

I was hoping to try local restaurants for authentic local food. Usually restaurants inside a hotel are expensive.
Also, how long will the subway ride be to the Silkmarket?
If I do decide to take the taxi, will the taxi charge RMB 20 for each person in the car? I have a total of five people traveling together.

Thanks
Samantha

By MTR, it takes 25-30min to Silk Market.

As for the taxi fare, it costs CNY20 in total for all of you. But as I know, a taxi can only hold at most four adult passengers.
