About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

USA-China-HK then HK-China-USA

Our question is if we can utilize the 10-day free visa policy twice within 2 days.

We will fly from USA directly to China, non-stop, exit China via train to HK in day 8. Stay in HK for one full day on day 9.

Day 10, we will enter China by air n travel around for a week or so. On day 18, we plan to fly back directly to USA in Quangzhou, non-stop.

R we qualified to use the 10-day free transit visa twice this way? Thx.

Yes, you can definitely and without any doubt use 240 hour visa free transit twice since you will make a break between the two by exiting to Hong Kong. It is just important to understand that you will have to buy your train ticket from mainland China to Hong Kong even before you depart from US toward China because you will be asked for one as a proof that you will be really in a transit in both US (at the time of your check-in) and in China (upon your landing). I encourage you to use correct terminology because this is not 10 day free visa policy, but 240 hour visa free transit, so there is no visa of any kind at all. I wish you a pleasant visit to China.
