About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Seoul => Shanghai => Hong Kong

Hello I'm a French citizen living in Canada and I'm planning a round trip to Hong Kong then during my stay a round trip to Seoul through Shanghai and I'm thinking of using the 72 hours visa free transit in Shanghai when coming back from south Korea to Hong Kong. Is it possible to do that? One transfer without leaving the airport and the other one going in Shanghai downtown.
Thanks for your answers.

As for your travel between South Korea and Hong Kong via Shanghai, the 72h visa-free policy is qualified to you. Without a visa, you can either stay the airport or travel downtown within 72h.
