Valid Passport

A valid passport must have at least 6 months left on it. Is that duration from date of application? Or from date of visit? My passport expires in October 2013. I plan on applying for my visa in the next couple of weeks, but our trip isn't until June 22 2013. Can I still use my current passport?

6 month passport validity is required when you submit your application. But you can not apply too early as a single entry Chinese visa is only valid for 3 months after issue date. So, you'd better renew your passport first if you plan to apply late June.
