China visa in Australia using Malaysia passport

Im holding a Malaysia passport, currently studying in Australia, with a Australia student visa, want to visit to China, can I apply for China visa, in Australia China embassy using Malaysia passport?

Yes, you can. However, non-Australian passport holders should provide valid Australian visa as well as entry record, both the original and the copy.
