extending layover in shanghai

Im a canadian and my return flight goes from bangkok to shanghai (layover) to canada. I would like to extend my time in shanghai to 2 days. Hi, it is ok for you to do this. From Jan.1 2013, you are allowed visa free transit in Shanghai for 72 hours with onward flight ticket and visa (if required).
