I have a jacket with chinese symbols on it. Will chinese people be offended if an anglo wears it?

I do not know what the symbols are. But, I am going to a lunar new party on saturday and thought this would show respect. alternatively I have a simpler jacket with chinese embroidered flowers on it. What do you think?

It is OK to wear your jacket with Chinese symbols on. I think they will like your jacket.
