About:Chinese Embassy in Argentina

visa for US citizen

I am a citizen of the United States. I will be visiting Argentina. Can I obtain it while I am in Buenos Aires?

It depends on whether are you required visa to work or live in Argentina. Generally, to apply in a third country, you have to show your residence permit or long term visa. Otherwise, you need to apply in your home country. BTW, a single entry is valid for 3 months after issue, you can apply for it in advanve in US before leaving.
