Can I get a visa in Korea without 6 months left on my ARC card?

I'm leaving South Korea to go home (America) after two years of living there and want to spend a month in China. I heard I need 6 months validity on my Alien Registration Card to get a visa. I won't have it because I'll be leaving. Can I still get one for tourism if I'm not going back to Korea?

You can not get a Chinese visa without the 6 months' ARC for Korea. If possible, you can try to apply in Japan or send back application to US. Anyway, contact any of the travel agency first for the latest information.
