Bullet (High Speed) Train

Hi,

From my research, I found out that the bullet train (high speed train) from Guangzhou is only available to Shenzhen, not yet to Hong Kong. Is this correct? If yes, how do I go to Shenzen from Hong Kong (my hotel's here)?

Or, if you have a better option for me to go to GZ from HK with AT LEAST ONE OF THE RIDE IS A BULLET TRAIN? The rest can be normal trains.

Appreciate your cooperation very much.

Thanks.

Yes, there is no bullet train to HK. From HK, you can take the metro East Rail Line to Lo Wu, then go to pass through the cutoms at Luohu Border, you can get into Shenzhen. Froom HK to GZ, you can go to Shenzhen first, then walk to Shenzhen Railway Station to take bullet train to GZ.

Thanks so much, Cindy. Follow up question:

Between
A) taking the intercity train from HK to GZ, and
B) taking the metro from HK to Shenzhen and then bullet train to GZ
which option is:
i) faster?
ii) more enjoyable?
iii) less hassle?

Thanks.

In my opinion, I prefer taking the intercity train from HK to Guangzhou directly, which will take you about two hours without any transfer in the railway station. These kinds of trains are also in good quality and comfortable.
