Transiting through multiple Chinese airports

Hello,

I am flying from Tokyo to Dhaka, Bangladesh through China, with China Eastern Airlines . I have two connections in China, one in Beijing (9 hrs wait) and one in Kunming (3hrs wait). I won't leave the airports. I know I don't need a visa if I leave the country within 24 hrs but does this also apply if I am connecting through two airports? I am not Japanese.
