day trip in kunming

Question

I have 13 hour layover in the city and want to see the stone forests. How far is it from the airport to the forest? Would I need to get a visa to leave the airport of a few hours?Thank you.

You can take the subway to reach East Bus Terminal where you can find the buses to reach Stonea Forest. The bus will take you about an hour and a half to two hours to reach. If you want to go to the forest, you need to get a visa for leaving the airport.
