plan to visit beijing around christmas holiday (towards end of december) is this the best time.

It may not be a good time to visit there, because it is cold at that time, especially for you who come from tropical area. The Christmas atmosphere is not very attractive than Hong Kong, although there is not so many tourists in Peking. It suggested for you to come in the spring time next year.0
