Malaysia passport holder from Tokyo transit Shanghai (SHA-PVG) and to Singapore by China Eastern

My flight from Tokyo to Shanghai Hongqiao and transit via Pudong airport to Singapore by China Eastern. Do i need to collect my luggage from Hongqiao, find my way and pay for own transport to Pudong airport? Do i need to have any VISA for doing so? shouldn't this all arrange by the respective Airline? Kindly advice.

As I know, the airline will arrange the transit for you. you need to collect your luggage but you can check in it again in another window of Hongqiao for your next flight. Visa is required. But you'd better contact your airline for further confirmation.
