About:Garden of the Master of the Nets

Visa application in person or through travel agency?

I have gotten conflictly information as to whether I (an American citizen living in Japan for one year) apply for a Visa at the consulate office in Sapporo Japan or if I have to use a travel agency. Which is correct? I would like to apply directly beause I have heard travel agencies double the fee.

Do you have Certificate of Alien Registration for japan? if yes, you can apply in person. Otherwise, you have to apply through a travel agency.
