About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

My passport will expire 4 months after my return from China. Is this amount of time acceptable?

The requirement for passport validity is more than 3 months from the date you leave China. So, it is ok. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months when you submit your visa application.
