In the ancient China, people usually contacted with each other by pigeons or the horse-riding postmen.
Because the pigeons could tell the route and the directions, they could succeed in sending an mail to somewhere.
In ancient China, horses were the major transport, and due to the high speed, people also rided the horses to send the mails, especially for some urgent mails.
