About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Visa for Canadians and Italians

I am Canadian and will be a teacher in Korea. I am planning to go visit China with my Italian girlfriend when she comes to visit me in Korea. Will I be able to get a visa in Korea (by mail?) since I will have an ARC. Will my girlfriend be able to get her visa in Korea as well since she is just a tourist?

Thank you

It seems that China Embassy in South Korea doesn't provide mail service for visa application. You must apply for the visa through the authorized travel agencies listed on this page http://kr.china-embassy.org/chn/lsqz/ls_qz/ls_qz_13/t229558.htm

No problem for you to get a China visa there, since you are woking there. As for your Italian girlfriend, there is the possibility for her to get a visa, too, for I heard that the ARC is not required by the embassy now. You can get some help from the appointed travel agencies.

No problem for you to get a China visa in South Korea if you are working there. As for your girl Italian girlfirend, there is also the possibility for her to get a China visa there, for I heard that the ARC is not required now. However, to make sure you have a smooth travel as you schedued, I advise your girlfriend get the China visa in her home country in advance.
