About:Chinese Embassy in New Zealand

Handling fees

fee per package mail $15. so how come an enclosed return stamp paid envelope is also required, thought the application fee of $140 would also have already covered that.

The service fee applies to all applications by mail or by courier. The handling service fee is NOT postage for returning your passport, you will still be required to provide a prepaid self-addressed courier pack or envelope for returning your passport. $140 is only for visa itself.
