I am a french studying Thai language at Phuket. I want to plan a trip and staying in the country of approximately 50 days to visit family at Shanghai and visit some cities like Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing and DaliWhat are the requirement for a Visa F?

if your purpose to China is to visit family at Shanghai and visit some cities like Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing and Dali, you need simply to apply for a single entry tourist visa. This in geneal allows 30 days stay, but you can extend it at PSB in China for one more month. F visa is for business purpose and required invitation letter from China.
