About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Can I get a tourist visa for China on the same day as I apply for it?

I live in Japan (2 and a half hours distant from the Embassy of China in Tokyo) and I would like to know if I can get a tourist visa in Tokyo on the same day as I apply for it.
If possible, this would save me a lot of train travel.

Sorry, Chinese embassy in Tokyo only provides express service for next-day or the third-day pick-up. You can not get your visa on the same day.
