From Denshikou to Beijing West Station

There is no direct subway from Dengshikou to Beijing West.
You can take the subway line 5 to Dongdan Station and then change to line 1 to stop at Military Museum. After that, you need to take a taxi to get Beijing West Station, since you have two suitcases, It is about 3.5 kilometers between the museum to the station. Taking the subway will take you about 20 minutes and from the museum to the station will cost about 5-10 minutes.
Since 18:00 is a crowded time, starting your journey two hours at least before is necessary.

I read that it was possible to take bus no 109 from Dongsi Station to Beijing west station.
a) Is that true ?
b) If not possible,, is there another way to travel to this railway station by bus ?
Somebody told me that I have to go to Chongwen men subway station and take bus no 2 tot Beijing West railway station.
I don't know if that is a better way
I hope somebody can tell me what is the best way.
