Is it possible to go from shanghai to chengdu and back to Shanghai in one day to see the pandas. if so what is the best way to do this and how much would it cost?

It will in a hurry if you plan to see the pandas from Shanghai to Chengdu. The fastest way from Shanghai to Chengdu is taking planes, which will cost you for about 3 hours. After that you need to take the airport shuttle bus from the airport to the city, which will cost you for about 30 minutes. Then you can take a cab to Chengdu Research Base of Gaint Panda Breeding to see the pandas, which will cost you about 20 minutes. After your visit, you need to fly back to Shanghai before 21:50, which is the time of the last flight from Chengdu to Shanghai.
