Shanghai PuDong International air port to Nanjing Jinling Hotel

I would like to answer your questions below:
1. You can take shuttle bus 1 from the airport to the east Hongqiao transportation center, then walk about 8 minutes to the Hongqiao railway station. The journey will cost you about CNY30 and 60 minutes.
2. Both D and G train are good choices for you. While the luggage rack on the D train is larger.
3. You may take the subway 1 from the Nanjing south train station to the Xinjiekou station. Then walk for several minutes, you will arrive in the hotel.

Many thank for your quick advise. I got a reply from a friend that the following is another alternate route to Nanjing. Any comments ?
1. Arrive at Pudong international airport 15:30. Take line 5 bus to Shanghai railway station approximately for about 80min. Estimated to arrive at around 17:00~17:30.
2. Take train G7022 (for 2 stops) to Nanjing railway station which will start at 18:00 & arrive around 19:27 (seat: Soft sleeper - Lower bunk RMB140)
3. Take a taxi to Jinling Hotel since it is only a 10km distance.
