Transit visa question

Hi,
I'm swedish and currently staying in beijing, for three months writing my master thesis, with a one entry visa. My flight back home is already booked and leaves from Beijing international airport but I'm planing to visit Japan and South Korea before heading back home. My question is: Do I need a transit visa if I make the re-entry to china within 24 h before departure back to Sweden. I will also have some luggage transported to the airport by some friends, is it possible to meet them for a hand-over, I mean with the immigration zone and custom boarder issues or do I need transit visa in order to receive my luggage?

Thanks

Yes, you do need a transit visa if you will go out of the custom boarder to receive your luggage. You can apply for a 24-hour stay permit for this or change your visa entry type at the local exit-entry department burea in China before you heads for Japan or Korea.
