Visa for our adopted son

My name is James Hommes, and we are planning to adopt a boy in the PRC this summer. However, we will be residing in Japan for two months and are leaving next week. We would like to get a visa to go to China from Japan while we are in Japan. Would that be possible, and how long would it take? Thanks for considering my request.

Do you have the Certificate of alien registration (to the aliens who have the visa with the period of more than half a year in Japan)? Applying in Japan requires this document. Otherwise, you can go to HK and apply a Chinese visa there.
