About:Chinese Consulate in Auckland

Can I apply for a tourist visa with my UK passport instead of my NZ passport. I hold both.

I live in NZ. There is nowhere on form 2011B to give details of my NZ passport as evidence of right of residency in NZ.
Also, must I apply for a transit visa if I am in Guangzhou for 19 hours ie less than 24 hours?

You'd better apply with your NZ passport if you apply China visa in NZ. In this case, only form V2011A is enough.
if you only transit in guangzhou for 19 hours without leaving the airport, no visa is requried.
