About:Hong Kong Visa Application

Inquiry for a Transit visa

Hi,

I am Keshan. i have a transit(less than 12 hours) in Hong Kong when returning from San Francisco(USA) to Colombo(Sri Lanka) in last week of June. according to your article i don't need to get a transit visa since Sri Lanka doesn't have an asterik. i need to get a transit visa. so i made an inquiry from Hong Kong immigration department they said there are temporary arrangements under which the visa requirement is temporarily suspended for Sri Lanka airside transit passengers when travelling from certain countries back to their own country when their airside transit period is less than 12 hours in Hong Kong. so i am confused whether i need to apply or not. please help me.

Thank you very much,
Thanks.
