can use my pasport traveling to china and stay 1 year and how to do thnks

1.I think you can only apply a L visa. Regularlly, L visa allows you to stay 30-180 days, and you can apply for approval of extension for a maximum period of one month from local public security authorities above the county level before the duration of stay expires. Approval of an extension of stay may or may not be granted and you can only apply once.SO you can stay in China for 4 months at most.
2.There is a way to stay 1 year. Before your duration expires,you can go to HK, and apply for a new China visa there and go back to the Mainland China.
