hello, i want to change my f visa to x visa, how can i do that?

When I returned home for the Chinese new year holiday, my student visa expired. I tried to renew it in my country but was given an F visa instead & now I have to change it to an X visa, How do I proceed & how much will it cost me?Thank you

As far as I know, visa can't be changed once it is issued. The embassy may just grant you the F visa based on the documents you submitted. I advise you contact the embassy to enquire about this before re-apply for the X visa. Not sure which country's X visa you will apply for, so it's hard to tell you the procedure and cost.
