Hello, I want to change my F visa to X visa, how can I do that? I was given an F visa accidentally

When I returned home for the Chinese new year holiday, my student visa expired. I tried to renew it in my country but was given an F visa instead & now I have to change it to an X visa, How do I proceed & how much will it cost me?
