About:China Tourist Visa

I am in Thailand. Can I get a visa to visit China if I fly to Hong Kong first?

I am trying to see if I can get a Chinese L visa in Bangkok in one day, and what documents I will need to bring with me, and what time I'd need to arrive at the embassy to do this in one day. Also, whether I would need proof of my daughter being my daughter, to get an L visa, as one site said. No one seems to know definite answers to these questions!

If it is not possible to get an L visa from Bangkok in one day, is it easier to fly into Hong Kong to get a Chinese visa from there?

You can try to get a Chinese L visa in Bangkok in one day, please submit application before 09:30 in the morning and apply for rush service, if the vsia officer approves it, you can collect your visa and passport around 03:00 in the afternoon. You need to bring your passport and fill in visa application form V.2011A and V.2011B, one passport photo, the round-trip flight tickets and hotel booking, if the application is denied, you can fly into Hong Kong and get a Chinese visa from there. Even though you get a China visa in Bangkok, you can still fly into Hong Kong first and then enter into Mainland China.
