About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

if i am australian citizen can i apply for my chinese visa in vietnam

I will be travelling through vietnam and thailand for longer then the validity of a chinese visa if i apply for that in australia.

Yes, you can apply for Chinese tourist visa in Vietnam or Thailand, I know that the visa obtained in Australia will expire because you will visit Vietnam and Thailand for a long time.
