hongkong visa for vietnamese

hello,i saw some responses on the necessary documents for Hongkong visa application for Vietnamese. However, I have been heard that Vietnamese travelers must prove personal finance & their job in Vietnam. Are these required ?

The Hong Kong visa applications are considered case by case, if the visa officer doubts that you will overstay in Hong Kong or go to Hong Kong for illegal employment, you will be asked to provide the financial certificate and your job certificate in Vietnam.
