About:Chinese Embassy in Belgium

How long is the duration of one "entry"?

I am a first time traveler to China and my flight arrives in Beijing. I will travel to Taiwan, then back to mainland China to Shenzhen to visit a friend, then fly to Seoul, South Korea, then Japan, then back to Beijing to finish my trip.

So I travel to mainland China, then out, then back in, then out, then back in. To me, those are three entries needed. Can I request a multiple entry visa as a first time US citizen?

Yes, you can request a multiple entry tourist visa as a first time US citizen, please write your travel itinerary on the Section 5.2 of the visa application form: Belgium-Beijing-Taiwan-Mainland China, Shenzhen - Seoul, South Korea - Japan - Beijing, then the visa officer will know that you will enter Mainland China for 3 times.

At present, it is not easy to get a multiple entry visa for US application, but you can have a try.

Generally speaking, a mutiple entry visa permits 30 days duration of stay per entry.
