do i need a letter of invitation or hotel confirmation?

we have a roundtrip ticket cebu- hongkong. do we still need to present an invitation letter or hotel confirmation? what other requirements do we need to present? thank you

Are you applying for Hong Kong visa or China visa and what kind of visa are you going to apply for?

we are not applying for visa.. we will just have a tour at hongkong. however the airline representative asked us if we have an invitation letter or hotel confirmation since there is a change that we can't fly if we don't have those.. is it true??

Philippines passport holders can stay in Hong Kong for up to 14 days without a visa. But your passport should be valid for at least 44 days on the arrial day. The customer officers may also check if your pocket money is enough to cover your spend in HK or not upon arrival. I haven't heard about other docuemtns are asked.
It is possible for the airline company to ask for one of these documents due to the airline regulations.
